Hotels

Best Western Walton Park Hotel

Wellington Terrace, Clevedon BS21 7BL, UK – 01275 874253

This hotel was lovely. Really quirky and a little run down but it all added to the charm. The views were superb and it's in a great location. Both breakfast and evening meal were very enjoyable. Staff were very friendly. Parking was free but mind the bump.

Although the hotel might be a little dated this adds to the quirkiness of it. All the staff are very helpful and the view from the lounge over the sea is fantastic. We had our dog with us and the room was big enough for us all. We ate in the lounge on the Saturday night as this is where the dog can go, and even with a wedding and a large family function going on the food was piping hot and very good. All in all we will stay longer next time

Warrens Village

Colehouse Lane, Clevedon BS21 6TQ, UK – 01275 871666

Enjoyed a short stay here. Accommodation is clean and the dining area amazing. Breakfast was worth the small charge as we booked with no breakfast.

Very lovely place and quiet. Value for your money. 4 star's just becouse they didn't come to show you the room. Definitely visit again

Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Salthouse Bar and Restaurant

North Somerset, Salthouse Rd, Clevedon BS21 7TY, UK – 01275 343303

The best fresh food pub in town. The best views. Friendliest staff. Family and dog friendly. Amazing location. Well done to all the staff

A quick Coffee and Hot Chocolate with my daughter. We chose this pub because it accepts dogs and we had Louis the shih tzu with us! Parked in pub car park and paid £1.50 for an hour. Pub was quiet and we were served straight away. Decor was ok and was clean and tidy. Barman asked if we were in car park and then refunded us charge. Made perfect sense to stop tourists taking up the valuable spaces and not buying. Drinks prices were reasonable and quality good. Will return again.

Little Harp

Elton Rd, Clevedon BS21 7RH, UK – 01275 343739

We went to the Little Harp Saturday to pick up the Surfers Against Sewage beach clean box, and decided to stop for something to eat, Good Decision. It was after 3pm so the dining area was quite with just 4 or 5 other couples, families there, so we sat at a table in the window with views over the Bristol Channel. As is customary in this type of pub, you choose what you want, note your table number and order at the bar, however as they were quite a waitress came over a short while after we had sat down and took our drinks order and while our drinks were being sourced another waiter (the manager) came over and took our food order. I had the Surf and Turf which was Calamari Rings King Prawns and a proper Sirloin Stake and it was Gorgeous. The food is not cheap but is Excellent and Good Value, the service was very good with the staff being attentive, polite and efficient. I will be going back and I will whole heartedly recommend the Little Harp to my family and friends.

Great location with sea views. Large outside area for summer months. Well presented interior with a good food selection simple find a table number and order at the bar. Nice conservatory dining room very pleasent with the setting sun. I have eaten here a few times and have not had a bad experience.

The Limehouse

59 Hill Rd, Clevedon BS21 7PD, UK – 01275 879600

Wow, what a great night! Superb service, great atmosphere and stunning food. Our table of 13 were so well looked after and had a fantastic evening. Thanks once again!

I'd like to score 3 and a half if I could. Food was really tasty and that's what you go for, but on a Friday evening i.e the start of the weekend, they had run out of the meat platter starter and one of the red wines plus the chicken burger on the menu was now a beefburger. Surely at 7.30 on a Friday you have all your stock in for the weekend trade! A meal for 6 took an hour for the starter to arrive and just under 3 hours in total. Four of the 6 courses were warm not hot and 2 cold desserts were on warm plates (either microwaved or sitting on a hotplate before serving??) During the 3 hours not once did a waiter offer to pour water or wine and it was only right towards the end when they asked how things were. So, would we hope back? Yes. Ambience was decent, food was tasty and I think/hope we just got a bad night but if I went again and got the same service that would be it.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Cavell House Bed and Breakfast

1 Elton Rd, Clevedon BS21 7RA, UK – 01275 874477

Unfortunately we had to cancel our booking as my friend was ill. The owners were so helpful and understanding, clearly lovely genuine people which to me is a reflection that Cavell House is a lovely place to stay. We will definitely book for our next reunion.

Nice B&B close to the sea front with plenty of parking

Rose Cottage

36 Thackeray Ave, Clevedon BS21 7JJ, UK – 01275 879491

My husband and I spent 2 nights here for a weekend in Clevedon and everything was perfect. The room is large and comfortable, there is a tv, hairdryer, kettle, tea/coffee and mini fridge, as well as plenty of storage, two comfy chairs and a big comfy bed. Jenny and John are friendly and helpful, they kindly made us vegan breakfast after we'd asked in advamce. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Served in the conservatory overlooking the lovely garden.

Had a lovely stay and a fantastic full English breakfast thank you

The Old Inn

9 Walton Rd, Clevedon BS21 6AE, UK – 01275 340440

Recently visited the old inn on a Saturday lunchtime. Party of four for drinks &food. Good selection of beers&ales, nice friendly atmosphere. Food, service, presentation&cost, excellent value for money. Highly recommend a visit 🍺🍴👍

Hadn't eaten here for some time (nearly 4 years!) so we thought we'd pop in again to see if it was still good value. Opted for the Cod and Chips as it was 'Fish Friday', lovely big piece of Fish, nice thin crispy batter, piping hot, and very tasty, nice chips too, and well worth it for under £8.

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
